Washington Irving penned “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” in 1819. This tale has endured for centuries, inspiring countless adaptations in movies, television, coloring books, and cartoons. Even Disney has created its own version. On October 31st at the Grand opening of the Princeton University Art Museum, HHP will bring this iconic story to life with a unique re-enactment. Museum attendees of all ages will find themselves bewitched by the beloved residents of Sleepy Hollow, including, Katrina Van Tassel, Brom Bones, Ichabod Crane and perhaps a glimpse of the headless rider himself. This 30 minute event features professional storytellers in character and a full ensemble of dancers. A storybook adventure that promises to be a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience combining legend, theology, and theatre, it’s sure to be the highlight of the fall season.
